This course is all online and provides an opportunity to learn the fundamental mathematical progressions underlying students’ understandings of number sense.  

All eight ideas (Subitizing, Verbal Counting, Object Counting, Cardinality, Spatial Relationships, One/Two More & Less, Benchmarks of 5 & 10, and Part-Part-Whole) will be investigated in-depth with these lessons:

• What it is & Why it is so important
• Assessment Look Fors
• Experiences to provide your students that build the concept
• Games
• Future Impact to your students’ understanding of numbers
• Activities and information to share with parents

In addition to the course, each participant will have 3 months of access to the Build Math Minds Community.  Inside this community, each participant will have access to:

• The Number Sense 101 Course videos and documents
• Monthly webinars by Christina and other math education experts
• Forums around each of the major content areas
• Resources Christina and other members create
• Community full of like-minded teachers whom you can create groups with and bounce ideas off of
• Regular book studies throughout the year
• Access to the recordings of coaching calls Christina does with annual members

Each participant will receive all the same things they get in the Number Sense 101 course, but this comes with the Number Sense Small Group Bundle.  In the bundle each participant will get:

• 6 student packs of Place Value Cards
